This server is about creating complex machines that do cool things. All of the mods included : Industrial Craft, Build Craft, Redstone Power, RailCraft, Wireless Redstone, Teleport Pipes, and Power Converters are here because you can make complex, interacting machines with them.
Why create cool machines? Well, you can produce more supplies and weapons and building blocks automatically and quickly. Elemental creepers are part of the server to force you to play intelligently, and difficulty is set to hard. Eventually, once the mods exist to make this possible, I'd like for there to be open warfare across the server, with the smart players inside heavily protected fortresses crammed full of machinery. Today, that isn't possible, so for now, griefing is banned.
